How do I change my phone number without losing all my contacts ??

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 14

Contacts are held usually in an email account like iCloud.com, though some folk store them in the phone-only. Only you know where they are.

They are not held on the SIM card so feel free to get another SIM compatible with the phone.


Before removing the old SIM of=r having a new number ported to it,

Go to Settings, Messages, turn off iMessage

and then in Settings, FaceTime, turn off FaceTime.

After installing the new SIM or number turn them back on
