Does my apple Lightning Earpods that comes in the box can be used to listen to loseless audio?

The website does not mention anything about the lightning earphones from the box but does the earphones support or can handle 24bit@48khz ?

a wired headset just receive the analogue audio signal, after the digital to analogue conversion the term 24bit and sample rate has no meaning any longer
