Hello all,
I understand iMovie media/projects are not automatically stored in iCloud and must be manually saved/exported unlike other apps such as Books, Numbers etc.
That said, when iMovie is checked under iCloud documents and data, what is stored? Presumably just preferences/settings?

That's what one would think, however doesn't explain why iMovie is only using 0.1KB space in iCloud yet the quick movie I just created is 500MB. About 250MB is from a video I imported from Photos, the other I took directly within iMovie just to validate if any differences.
Quite honestly, I don’t know the answer to your question. I don’t use the Cloud for iMovie.
A shared out movie could be saved in the cloud. Hopefully someone will chime in here who stored data from iMovie.

Since projects cannot be stored in the cloud the only thing left to store would be the media files.
