Lossless music from uploaded CDs on Apple Music

I was wondering can you upload a CD to your Apple Music library from ITunes and have it playback in lossless mode. I set up transferring the CD in lossless mode on ITunes, but it’s still playing in lossy mode on Apple Music. Is this a software limitation or there a way that I can do this?

Hi mcewans,

We see you're trying to import your own lossless music. When you import songs from CDs you can change the format to the Apple Lossless Encoder rather than the default AAC one. We have included resources to show you how to do this on both Mac and PC.

Choose import settings in iTunes on PC

Choose import settings in Music on Mac

We hope this helps.

Take care.
