How to view the time and date a text was sent?

I see another question about this was answered by pointing to the header which, on my phone, only displays the time a text sent to me, was opened by me - no clue where the date or time the message was SENT is found. This has been driving me nuts as I need to know the date and time the op sent the message. How do I find this? Thank you!
