At least in the USA it is illegal to charge or require payment for lotteries or free company giveaways. Any time anyone claims you won but need to pay shipping, or taxes or import fees or any other payment, it is a dead give away it’s a scam.


Charities can sell tickets for a prize, but if you win, you still get the prize for no further fees.
