How to turn off Apple Pencil

Hi,

I was wondering is there a way to fully power off Apple Pencil 2. Some people on the Internet suggested forgetting the device in Bluetooth settings or keeping it out of range when not in use. I personally turn off Bluetooth when I don't use the pencil. Does that turn off the pencil or I need to forget it from the Bluetooth menu in order to do so?

The Apple pencil is always powered on. There is no way to shut it down.

Make sure you charge it regularly. If the battery dies and is without a charge for too long, the pencil will lose its ability to charge.
