I want to switch from PC to Mac. If I buy a MacBook and just cannot make the switch mentally can it be returned?

Short answer is YES. Long answer is that you have 14 days from the date of purchase to return the Mac for a full refund in the US.

Also note, there are options to run Windows on a Mac legally. Mac OS is not licensed for used on non-Apple devices.
