Apple Watch warranty

My Apple Watch started giving trouble within the warranty period and I complained in November 2020. I was asked to go to a service centre anytime, even after the warranty was over as the complaint was lodged within. This was because of covid and protocols as I am a senior citizen.

I spoke to Apple support multiple times and went to the service centre today after Apple fixed an appointment for me. The service agent wanted Apple to send an email to them so that they could process it within the warranty. However on speaking to Apple support for nearly 2 hours they said they cannot honour their commitment.

the watch has multiple faults.

  1. it doesn’t come on on wrist turn
  2. handwashing mode isn’t working
  3. Under activity km, calories, heart rate, pulse isn’t recording
  4. flights climbed is completely incorrect
  5. there may be more issues which I may not have noticed
  6. watch was bought in New York in Feb 20.

please help

Good to hear! I will try to help you further, by first borrowing some ideas from Jonathan UK on the 1st one:

Check that Theatre Mode / Cinema Mode is not accidentally enabled on your Apple Watch:

Check your Wake Screen settings:

  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > Wake Screen > check that Wake Screen on Wrist Raise is enabled.
  • It may help to toggle the setting OFF and then back ON again, if it is already turned on.

Check your watch orientation settings (which tell your Apple Watch which way up and which way around you are wearing it):

  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > General > Watch Orientation.
