Side Car with both my iPad and my wife's?

Hi,

My wife and I both have iPads associated with our own Apple Ids. We recently bought a Mac mini and I have been using SideCar on it with my iPad and its been really amazing. However, my wife does a lot of digital art and she'd love to use her iPad with SideCar to work on Photoshop and Illustrator.

The issue is that her iPad doesn't show up on the SideCar options....I'm guessing this is because the Mac was set up with my Apple ID.

So, my question is--short of putting my wife's iPad under my ID (which would be a fairly monumental hassle), is there any way she can use SideCar as well? Like, can I 'adopt' her iPad under my ID? Or can we set up another login that uses her ID rather than mine?

Any advice would be most appreciated, thanks!

Hello Full of Eyes.

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We see that you would like to know if it is possible to share Sidecar access with your wife's iPad which has a different Apple ID. We will be glad to assist. Unfortunately, Sidecar requires that both devices are signed into the same Apple ID to work. We would recommend submitting some feedback for this here: Feedback-iPad

Cheers.
