Lossless issue on Mac

How is your network bandwidth? In principle the streaming algorithm should be able to reduce the quality used if necessary. On the other hand music may not always show the symbols reliably. After changing tracks it may take several seconds for the symbol to reappear, so I'm not sure it is necessarily a reliable indicator, indeed the same space may also used for the Dolby Atmos symbol.

Tracks that you've actually added to your iCloud Music library seem to be treated to slightly different to those that haven't, but I'm also seeing inconsistencies in the details shown for cloud tracks. E.g.:

Sometimes the bit rate and sample rate are shown, sometimes not. Occasionally I get one marked as continuous, the available line which shows the alternate versions only seems to show for tracks that have been added to the library but are not downloaded.

I have no idea. Hopefully it will settle down as this new feature matures.
