Why is my camera on my New Macbook Pro Bad?

I just bought my new MacBook Pro and everything is perfect, except the camera, when I facetime someone the quality is superrrr, SUPER bad and blurry. What can I do to fix it?

Hello Again,

Yes I do understand that, but what I dont understand is that the quality of my macbook air 2017 model had a MUCH MUCH better camera than my Macbook pro 2021 model.

My camera seems as if someone put oil in the camera and the camera is not clear at all...

Thank you very much,

Hi kukulaki,

Despite Apple's marketing, the camera on your MacBook Pro is only 720p. That's not even HD.

Apparently the image signal processor in M1 is supposed to make the image look better, but I wouldn't count on it.

If you would like to improve the camera quality, unfortunately the only recommendation I can think of is to use another device or purchase a good webcam.
