Battery during sport long duration

Hi , is there a solution to make the battery last longer during sport . For example , I did 4 + hours of kayaking using an app called Watersports , I even charged my watch half way through . However the battery died on me about 30 mins before the end hence I lost all of the details of my few hours kayaking . Thanks

You can engage "Workout Power saving mode",this turns off the heart monitor while working out and is a favourite with long distance runners.

And the watch battery uses a fair bit less juice


To enable Workout Power Saving Mode, open the Apple Watch app on iPhone, tap My Watch, and then tap on Workout > Power Saving Mode and turn the switch on.This turns off the heart rate monitor during walking and running workouts.
