How do you delete a post after you figure out how to do something on your own?

Very valuable information. It is good to post solutions. There are a lot of "spaced out" Mac users who will benefit from your posted solution.

you can't delete a post. you can edit it for about 15 minutes after you post it. if you find a solution on your own before getting the correct response, you should post it here. it will save people time from responding. as well, your solution will likely help someone else eventually.
You don't need to delete it. Merely indicate that the problem is resolved.
You can reply to your original post with the solution, in case someone else has the same question.
