Being able to hear individuals through your vehicles radio when on a call is important, and you've come to a great place for help. To clarify a bit further are you having issues with all calls, or only calls from your boss? If you're only having issues with calls from your boss do you notice if it happens when they're not connected to CarPlay or to Bluetooth on their radio?

If the issue happens with all calls, what happens if you disconnect if you take the call through your iPhone and not the radio? Such as placing the call on speaker phone, or using the receiver you hold to your ear?

This greatly helps isolate the issue to not being related to CarPlay in your bosses vehicle. Have you tried different connection types with your radio? For example, if you're using an aux cable have you tried a different cable to see if the same issue occurs? If not, try a different cable as this can help further isolate the issue. If the issue continues with an alternate cable, are you able to connect your iPhone to a different vehicles radio to see if the same issue happens? If you're able too, and the issue doesn't continue when connected to an alternate radio you would want to reach out to the radio or vehicle manufacturer for additional support.
