Paramount plus turns off TV while streaming

While streaming movies on paramount plus on my new apple TV 4K (6th Gen) with tvOS 14.6 I noticed that my LG TV will power off during playback. This only happens with the paramount plus app, and CEC is disabled. The video will run for 30 or 40 seconds, then the TV will power off, but the sound continues to play. An additional side note is that I use the Logitech Harmony hub and remote to control all of my devices. I verified that I get the same behavior if I use the original apple tv remote too. Turning the TV back on gives me another 30-40 seconds before the TV turns off.

Has anyone else seen behavior like this where an app causes the TV to power off? Again, this only happens with the paramount plus app, and seems to be new behavior since I've updated to 14.6.
