Can i share photos of a person?

I want to share with my partner photos of our daughter. I want the album to be updated automatically with new photos i take. I created a family group and added my partner.

I’m asking because I’m not sure if this is possible without having to add new photos to a shared album.

Thanks,

Andrei

Take as many photos as you can and share them and enjoy them! But if you want to use the family album, you have to share them manually. And the shared versions will be of a lesser quality than the originals.

To share the photos in full quality, you can also share the photos as an iCloud Link: Share photos and videos on iPhone - Apple Support

"When iCloud Photos is turned on, you can share multiple full-quality photos with an iCloud link. iCloud links remain available for 30 days, can be viewed by anyone, and can be shared using any app, such as Messages or Mail."

You have to add new photos manually to the shared family album, just like for any shared album.

We have to pick each photo we want to share manually. This is useful, as it is protecting us from accidentally sharing photos that would be embarrassing to share, and it is protecting the subscribers from having their devices flooded with too many photos that need weeding out.
