I bought a new iphone and it has a problem in the charging base, it won't charge.
I took it to get fixed, and I was told that they will only change the charging station (not the phone itself), and I was also told that it will not affect my phone insurance. I would like to check if that is true.

If you took it to an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider, trust them.
