I probably enter my email address 20 times a day on My Mac and iPad. 20 or more years ago I had a programable (keystroke) keyboard. I pressed control 6 or some other keys whenever I wanted to enter a string of keystrokes like my email address.
I have a file on my desktop which is my email address and, as you suggest I can copy and paste it. With all the improved technology of the past 20 years I suspect apple has a way to program some keystrokes that would enter my email address faster than copy and paste.
