Hi,
If necessary, reset the printing system and re-add the printer.

You could perhaps try the HP Printer Drivers v5.1 for macOS (posted Dec 11, 2020) at https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1888?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US (a .dmg file via the Download button). An HP Deskjet 3050 J610 series driver version 2.3.2 is mentioned in Printer and scanner drivers for Mac - Apple Support. This may or may not work. As with any test, one cannot rule out software conflicts and lost data. So, make sure that you have at least three backup copies of important files (photos, et cetera).

It appears that HP have discontinued support and drivers for the HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer series J610 printer, as there are no recent drivers listed at the HP support page for that HP printer. And what is listed over there is very old.
Per somebody seeming to be an HP rep over the HP website, the following HP package won’t work: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/hp-smart/id1474276998
There are other reports of issues over at HP, as well:
Based on what’s posted over at HP, it seems you might need to try the Gutenprint printer drivers now, assuming a printer reset doesn’t work. Based on some postings over at HP, a reset probably won’t.

Use a Virtual Machine:
With this not working, the only way to use it on this macOS may be through use of a Virtual Machine running on it. So, if there ends up being not solution for this, consider using a Virtual Machine(VM) for running Windows (Windows-in-a-window). You would open items in it, and use Windows-only compatible software on it. All would be accessed and would operate as desired on the VM. Virtual Machine applications include VMWare Fusion and Parallels. Learn more here: What Is a Virtual Machine? - VMWare Support.
FYI A recent High Sierra update wrecked communication with my old HP F4580 inkjet printer.
Tried all Apple advice, nothing worked. Per advice on HP forum, I uninstalled all HP printer software and reinstall the latest package of drivers (HPPrinterDrivers5.1.dmg).
Links to both the HP uninstaller and HPPrinterDrivers5.1.dmg package of drivers are on the HP forums here:
