When I retrieve my verification code and enter it it say incorrect verification code every time. What gives here?

Trying to change my e mail address for IPAD. When I enter the verification code it repeatedly says incorrect verification code no matter how many different ones I put in. I know they are correct. What gives here?

Eric, I had this problem too. Here's what you have to do:

DON'T just enter the verification code in the password box. You MUST first enter the Appleid password (again) and THEN immediately follow with the verification code.

I know that the password you had entered looks like it is still in the box as *********, but it will disappear when you enter the first character of your (repeated) Appleid password.
