Hissing noise

I have updated my iPad 2017 to the latest firmware after using iOS 10.3.3 for years. Now it is making a hissing noise constantly. I am sure this is %100 software related.

iPad, iPadOS 14

Hi berkay243,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help with a hissing noise through your iPad.

We understand you feel this is software related, but the quickest way to find out is restoring your iPad to factory settings. Please see: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings. Just be sure you have a backup.

This will essentially put a full new copy of iPadOS 14.6 onto your device.

After restoring, set the iPad up as new and listen for the hissing. If it's present, then it is definitely a hardware issue and we'd recommend service.

If it's not there, restore the backup to the iPad and test again: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup.

Let us know what happens.

Have a fantastic day!
