Iphone Videos Not Rendering In iMovie

I have had this happen to me now several times and it's pretty frustrating. Everytime I use my iphone to record video and go to edit in imovie, I get the error Video rendering error: 10008 (iMovie error 10008: renderVideoFrame failed). I don't get the same problem that a lot of people have though. When I click save, the ring at the top right makes an empty circle for about 3 seconds and then saves a 7 second video file to my desktop that's dark green. I have tried to isolate the "broken/corrupt" part of the clip where it's showing black in the clip but there isn't any error and even when I trim out the black part of the clip it just makes another black part on whatever frame is nearest to where I trimmed it. How does apple make devices that are incompatible? Has anyone else found a solution to this problem because I have watched every youtube video I could find and looked up for two days now different solutions and I haven't seen anyone else with the exact same problem. Most people seem to have a small video file that saves and they can see where the rendering error is but that isn't the case for me. Thanks for your time.

The message is saying that there is some corruption in the file. The normal way to identify and remove the corrupt frame is to expand out the timeline with the slider above and to the right of the timeline, and slowly scroll through, looking for black frames, white flashes, artifacts, and any other signs of corruption. Cut out any that you find and try to export again. You've said that you tried cutting out black frames without success, but to cover the bases I wanted to describe the method.

If still no success, you can try deleting preferences, as that sometimes cures export problems. Open iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and select to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen your old library to get back to your projects.  Deleting preferences is a safe procedure that will not cause data loss or disruption to your project.

Also, you can try creating a new library, copying your project into it, and then try to export and see if it works.
