iPhone not communicating with Apple Watch properly

I have an Apple Watch series 6 and an iPhone 12 Pro. They seem to work fine with one another, except for a few things: my activity data is not synced (fitness and health apps on iPhone don’t show any data from the Apple Watch - no steps, no sleep info, no workouts no ring closing progress, nothing) and I have never been able to activate the “Unlock with Apple Watch” feature on the iPhone for unlocking while using a face mask.

Please help!!

Have you stepped thru all the initial setup in the Health app?

Manage Health data on your iPhone, iPod touch, or Apple Watch - Apple Support

In particular, is your watch showing up as an active data source device in there?

Calibration is also recommended as a later step:

Yes thats the best idea - unpairing and re-pairing hopefully fixes it already.

The watch is NOT showing up as a data source.

I guess the problem is that I have had three Apple Watches since it launched and they all had the same name. When I go into the health app and then Profile - Devices, I see 5 (!) watches with the same name but all of them read “This Apple Watch is no longer paired with this iPhone”.

And I just can’t find a way to add my current watch to that list!

I guess I’ll have to reset it or at least unpair it to see if it works after pairing it again?
