In our family, we have around 10 Apple devices. None of them have the options for Spatial/Lossless Audio yet. We have even factory reset a few of them. The region (Both account and device) is set to India. Reached out to Apple and they said it is not launched in India yet, but I see in forums that people in India did in fact get it.
I have toggled all the options in Music, no change.
Anyone in India already got the Spatial/Lossless Audio options

It is not yet available in India. Checked with Apple support team and they mentioned that no clear date when this will be available in India and also didnot mention the reason. So need to wait for long as no clear update from apple why not yet in India. Some people changed country setting to get that but that will change lot of other settings so not preferable.

I got a similar response. Even more vague.. they redirected me to Apple India website and “keep looking for the latest updates..”
None of my friends have it. Guess the news of some people getting it in India is purely a marketing gimmick. Can’t wait for the #1 competitor to launch lossless. Not for away..
I think their logic is that they didn’t want to launch this in India without the local/Bollywood music supporting this. They don’t seem to understand that Indians can listen to other music, too. Pathetic.

Spotify is the #1 here. They have better local music than Apple. Most people who subscribe to Apple Music in India subscribe for the International music. The section of folks who look for HI-DEF music are also very small in numbers.
