Listen Now, Browse and Stations gone

On my Mac, the items in the top left column (listen now, browse, stations, etc) are gone. Nothing there except the Library choices and Playlists.

The playlists play and I can search, but it will only search my library and not the whole of Apple Music. My account is fine (iPad and iPhone still work normally) and I did log out and back in and that only wasted a half hour.

We need USER help to solve this problem because after decades of asking questions here, I have NEVER had a reply from a human at Apple. Why would today be any different.

(And if Apple is actually reading this, add a freaking visualizer to your AppleTVBox music app. Its a no brainer, great for marketing and easy to implement.)

Hi Jeffrey David,

Thanks for reaching out using Apple Support Communities. Happy to help out today.

We understand you are not seeing Apple Music features within the Music app on your Mac. Lets see what can be done to remedy that.

You mentioned trying to log out and back in, could you specify where you did this from? The best place for this concern would be to use the Account menu option within the Music app. After this, there are a few preferences we can check.

In the Music App, choose Music from the top menu, then select Preferences. Under the General tab, you'll want to ensure that Sync Library is enabled. In earlier builds of MacOS, this may be referred to as ICloud Music Library. More about this feature can be found below.

Turn on Sync Library with Apple Music

Additionally in earlier MacOS versions, there may be an option here for 'Show Apple Music.' If you see something like this, make sure it is checked. Similarly in the Restrictions tab, make sure that Apple Music is not checked here.

Finally if all of these settings seem in order, you are signed in with an Apple ID that has an active Apple Music subscription, and the issue persists, you may wish to consider upgrading your Mac to the latest software version. This will ensure your Mac has received all feature updates and bug fixes for the best experience. The link below will help you determine if your Mac is eligible for the latest version.
