Multiple desktops on both the internal display of my M1 MacBook Air and my external display.
Yes.
Can you explain what you mean by "crash"?
It's a shame, really. Those sixteen desktops could be brilliant if they took it seriously. I get the feeling there are not a lot of people using it, which is just a shame.
For instance, they could have each desktop completely separate, as far as what files appear on the desktop. It would also be nice if the desktops rebooted to the state they were originally in (I get open files all over the place with some apps).
If what you mean by crash is that you lose your display, I have that happen, also, though I found a sort of work around.
Here's another one in the same vein. If I switch applications with cmd-tab and I don't hav e something open on that page it switches to a desktop with the app open. I'm pretty sure that only happens on the M1 Macs, though not 100% certain.
Anyways, is that supposed to be a feature, also?
Have you ever had it switch desktops on you when you close a window or application?
No.
Unfortunately not anymore. Keeps crashing with just one external monitor.

Interesting. My M1 Mac, only, switches desktops when I close some apps. I've added absolutely no apps to what came with the computer, so I'm not sure what is going on.
In fact, it does the same thing with clicking it in the dock! It seems almost impossible to open something in a new desktop that is already being used in a different desktop. Weird.
