Activation lock

My iPhone XS Max went out on a black screen due to a software issue. I decided to get a new phone, but I cannot connect my series 6 watch to my 12 pro max since it is connect to my X. Is there anything I can do to turn off activation lock on my watch or disconnect my phone using the watch?

Yes sure, you can remove the activation lock from icloud.com too. Check the steps in here:
