IOS Email App Text Size Shrinks After Opening

My iPhone's (12 mini) iOS has recently updated to the 14.6 version and after this update my email app has been acting funny. When I open an email the message, at first, loads to the normal legible text size then in about 1 second it shrinks to a quarter of the original size on the screen. It's so small that I have to zoom in just to read it. I've never come across this issue before and I have tried to adjust the text size and zoom functions in my settings/accessibility. I have also reset and hard reset my iPhone but nothing seems to fix this issue.

Is this happening with every email message? Or just some?

Are those affected messages a plain text emails or HTML/Rich Text emails (possibly including some images too)?

It’s possible the message has an object in it that stretches the width of email making all text in it to appear small/tiny.

Yes I’m using the native mail app.

what is webmail?

I reset my iPhone using he volume/lock hold simultaneous and the volume up then down then lock hold options. Like said in the previous message, soft and hard reboot.

the message looks like this when pulled up on the phone. I don’t see anything reaching past the width of the text. This does not happen on every email but the majority of emails with straight text through coworkers.

they have images in their signatures but they are just as small as everything else.
