Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you have some questions about group messages, and reviewing the Related Article Use Messages with your Mac was a great idea. We're happy to help from there.
If you leave an iMessage conversation, another person in the group iMessage may be able to add you back as a member as long as there are still at least three other participates remaining in the group. Keep in mind that to leave a group text, everyone needs to be using iMessage. A group iMessage is indicated with blue text bubbles.
