will macbook air m1 support any other os?

The only way at the moment would be using Parallels Desktop

Mac (recently updated to support M1) which, on an M1, will only

support ARM64 based Linux distributions and Windows 10 ARM64

Developers edition which only supports ARM64 based Windows apps.

At present, no.

Intel specific apps may run with Rosetta 2.

Just Big Sur at this time.
