Does AppleCare cover a stolen iPhone?

Hello Apple, I recently was robbed while traveling. I purchased Apple Care on my brand new IPhone 12 Pro max. It does not look like I am going to be able to get it back. Is there any way I can get help in receiving a new phone? I have also purchased a brand new 16' Mac book pro this year. I loved the new phone so much and I am just hoping there is a way to receive support from the company I have been loyal to for many years. Please let me know if there is any information I can provide or anybody I can speak to about this issue.

Unless you purchased Applecare + theft and loss protection, no, that is not covered by regular Applecare. The theft and loss part is covered by an insurance company and you would have received paperwork from them (a contract).
