What does the yellow/orange “masks” stand for at the top of my watch face?

You're welcome. Yes, Theater Mode is made to disable the Watch similar to Do Not Disturb, but you can still use a finger to open it to see things that are still coming in, you are just not notified. Glad you got it straightened out.
That took care of that question, AND it resolved my problem with my watch not waking when I raised my wrist! Thanks a million!
