Slide to Unlock / Power Off Not Working on iPhone

Re: Issue with my iPhone 11 Pro Max with iOS 14.6 (June 17, 2021)

My phone is unresponsive so I tried a hard power off by holding down the power and the top volume at the same time as I always do to reboot. I get the screen where I have the power off slider but even that is not working. Nothing on the screen responds. It was working last night when I went to bed. It's never been near water and I treat my iPhone 11 Pro Max with great care, never dropped, has a case, etc. So what's going on? My WHOLE iPhone touchscreen isn't working, including slide controls to power off. If I keep holding the power and volume button, the countdown begins on the home to activate the SOS feature.
