How do I update the photo app?
Neither the photo app nor the Skype app will open, since they weren't updated when the system updated. How do I update them?

For Skype, you may need to download a newer updated version from either the Mac App Store or Microsoft's own website: https://www.skype.com/en/
For the Photo app, which one are you referring to exactly?
If it's iPhoto, there is no update as it has been discontinued, however you can use the new "Photos" app to open the iPhoto library. Get help with the Photos app on your Mac - Apple Support
For any 3rd party Photo app, you would need to check with the developer of said app.
