playing videos on Facebook

We're glad you thought to ask Apple Support Communities about not being able to watch videos in Facebook. Are you using Safari or a different web browser? If Safari, see if clearing the history helps: Clear your browsing history in Safari on Mac

If you're not using Safari, or the issue continues, let us know more:

• Does this happen with all video's you try to play in a web browser?
• Does an alert appear, and if so, what does it say?

Absolutely! Here are the steps to clear that history:

1. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose History > Clear History, then click the pop-up menu.
2. Choose how far back you want your browsing history cleared. It's usually a good idea to clear all history so you're sure to grab the data that is possibly causing this to happen.
