What happened to "not junk" button in Apple Mail (June 2021)?

It appears that Apple Mail no longer has a "not junk" button. If I highlight a message that was sent to the "junk" folder, there is no longer an option to designate it as "not junk." Of course I can drag the message into my inbox, but this doesn't let the program learn to do better.

There have been similar questions posted over the years, but I had the option to highlight a message and tag it as "not junk" until very recently. Haaaalp!

Hey there!

I believe maybe the process has changed, but you can still mark as “Not Junk”:

Reduce junk mail in Mail on Mac:

Also, I’d check out the Mail Junk Filtering Preferences to see what’s going on there. If it’s enabled, but not working as it should, check out this article provided by Apple:

If junk mail filters aren’t working in Mail on Mac:

Hope that helps!

Hey Mexdog!

Are you still having this issue? If so:

Does their emails show up as Junk on ALL your devices automatically? As well as on the Mail providers web site?

That may tell us a lot, likewise, (If you can), if you have your friend email a different email address you own, or even a friends, ***(It maybe a good test sending it to another Mail provider, eg, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.), does it also show up in Junk?

I have seen people’s emails blacklisted, as many Report the emails being sent as Spam/Junk, and the email is placed in a third party database, that keeps a reputation score for that particular email. And due to this, (Or other reasons). Email providers can block this email account, they can even block a device(s)’ IP address from accessing their servers from any device they suspect.

This may not be the case of course, but those answers may help, thanks!
