Everyone having trouble updating iOS try this

Like a lot of you I could not get my iPhone to update to iOS 14.6 tonight. The phone said I already had the latest version even though I didn't, and when I tried to update it on a computer in iTunes it would give me an "unknown error has occurred (4000)" message.

If you are having the same problem try these steps:

Go to Settings --> Face ID & Passcode and tap Turn Passcode Off

You will have to login with your Apple ID to confirm

Once Passcode is disabled, plug the phone into a computer running iTunes

In iTunes you should be able to download and install the iOS update without getting the 4000 error

After iOS is updated, you can turn Passcode back on.
