to upgrade my storage

need to upgrade my storage from 256 to 512 GB, for my MacBook air 2020 model with an M1 chip.

should I contact my nearest apple store?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.4

Sorry, but it is not possible to upgrade the storage with purchasing a different Mac. As the ports re so fast, consider using an external SSD for additional storage space.

The Internal Drive and RAM is Soldered to the LogicBoard and can not be upgraded even by an Apple Store person.At time of Purchase it the Only time the Storage and / or RAM can be changes - that becomes a Made to Order Purchase.
