Why am I not getting message notifications?
Why am I not getting notifications when I get a text. If I text someone I have to stay on Messages to see if they text me back. Why is that?

To verify, is this happening with both iMessages (blue chat bubbles) and SMS (green chat bubbles)?
Are you still getting notifications from other apps?
If so, does that continue after following the steps from the “If you don't see notifications for a specific app” section of this article? Use notifications on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Also, is your iPhone all up-to-date? Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
