Best screen settings for summer sun

I live in Phoenix and the summer sun is very intense and bright. It is almost impossible to see the screen on my iPhone 12 with its current settings (which are fine in outdoor viewing Nov-May)

whats the best screen setting in order be able to actually see the details on the screen in the intense sunlight? (this includes being in a vehicle.)

iPhone 12, iOS 14

Hello Brett480,

We're glad you thought to ask Apple Support Communities about the trouble you're having with seeing the display of your iPhone 12 on a bright, summer day. Have you checked to see if the True Tone feature is turned on? The resource says "True Tone,* which is on by default, uses advanced sensors to adjust the color and intensity of your display to match the ambient light, so that images appear more natural. If you turn off True Tone, the display keeps color and intensity constant, regardless of changes in the ambient light.". That information can be found under "Adjust brightness and color temperature in Settings" here: Adjust the brightness and color temperature on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We hope this helps.

Take care.
