Apple 3.5 mm Earbuds microphone not working on Windows 10 PC

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has figured out the solution to why the apple 3.5 mm earbuds microphone does not work on Windows 10 PCs. I set the earbuds as my default communication device and the only output I get from the mic is this annoying static sound. However, any other headset or earbuds microphone works, except for the apple earbuds. I just got these earbuds, and the microphone works on my iPhone, android device, but not my PC. If anyone has a solution to this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.

there is not only 1 std. for how 3 ring minijack connectors work, it's a std. with normal stereo audio output only but not with input
