Forgot passcode

I am trying to unlock my daughters iPad without having to delete everything

The passcode or password is the key that allows the data to be decrypted.


No passcode means no decryption key means no decryption means no data access.


Reset it.


Here is how to reset > If you forgot the passcode on your iPad, or your iPad is disabled - Apple Support


If there is a backup here, the data can be restored.


If there is no backup, this situation is little different from an iPad lost, damaged, dunked, or failed.
