Getting rid of "other" storage

Hi, so after I update my ipad air 2 into ipadod 14.4.2, when downloading the apps again, there is now a message saying that my ipad storage is full even tho the apps I downloaded is just 3 yet and just below 300 mb so I look at my storage and I saw that the "other" storage has taken up almost my entire storage like 90-95% of my storage so I look at the photos, deleted the pic and vids on deleted albums and I try to clear my safari storage too but nothing happens. Is there any way to clear the "other" storage? Or does this effect software update? Hoping there will be a answer.

If your iPad is still running iPadOS 14.4.2, as indicated, you would be wise to update your iPad to the most recent version - iPadOS 14.6. The current version includes many fixes and essential security updates.

When reviewing your local data storage usage, you may see that the “other” category is consuming an disproportionate amount of space on your iPad. Whilst much of this category includes App cached content, this support page may be helpful:

well can I still update my ipad? Its because the update is like still ipados 14. What I mean is I can only update my ipad to Different ipados versions. I can't update my ipad to the same version. Ipados 14.4.2-14.6. Or should I update this using my computer since I tried to look in software updates on settings, but there's nothing. Just saying its up to date.
