Can’t connect my apple watch to my ipad to use fitness+ app

I just bought the ipad pro 11” 2021 yesterday and I have been trying to connect it on my Apple Watch Series 5. Both have the latest IOS software update. I tried logging in and out of my icloud accounts, I tried restarting NONE SEEM TO WORK I NEED HELP THIS IS GIVING ME A HEADACHE PLS
