Apple Watch pay

When I try to pay with my Apple Watch it says card unavailable please go to watch app on iPhone.

I have a iPhone 8 and my card is registered there for use and can be used for purchases on my phone but not on my watch. It used to work a long time ago but haven’t used my watch to pay for things in a long time. Any help to get it working again would be appreciated

Apple Pay with ultra 2 watch I have the card added properly but when I go to pay with Apple Watch ultra 2 it says , see phone for instructions on the card reader any ideas why I can’t just pay with the watch, cards are there
