Thanks for getting back with us about this issue, Momof3aK. Do you happen to have any restrictions enabled that might be preventing this from working? If so (on iOS 14), go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Deleting Apps and turn off.

If the issue persists, please try clearing the Safari cache: Clear the history and cookies from Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

If neither of these steps resolves the issue, let us know! We're here to help. Take care.

Hi there, Momof3aK! Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

After reviewing your post, it sounds like you are looking for some help removing some unwanted shortcuts on your iPhone 8 home screen. We definitely understand that can be a concern and we'd love to help. Let’s start by reviewing this article: Delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

When you tap and hold on the shortcut on your home screen, you should see the options to either 'Edit Home Screen', 'Share Bookmark', or 'Delete Bookmark'. Tapping Delete Bookmark will remove it from your Home Screen. Let us know if something else is happening when you follow these steps.

Please let us know if you have follow-up questions about this issue, or if the issue remains unresolved. Have a great day!
