what do I do? Is it a scam? It says to call apple support immediately 1888-803-0847

Just opened a link from a website and got this automated warning that my computer had beed locked down and to call apple support to unlock. It stated not to shutdown or restart. Is this a scam? Or something to take seriously. IMAC Pro. Ventura. Called support number given and person hung up. Haven't seen this before.

When I was setting up Chrome the MacBook alert said the computer is locked and has been used illegaly I was setting up Chrome and the computer alert says the computer is locked and has been used illegally. That's a scam, and also gibberish from a technical point of view. Don't call the number.
