I can’t authorize my IMAC and its the only computer I have on my account
What happens when you try? What is the error message?

It should work. I have done this before as you stated then for each one reauthorized that specific Mac. I would go back and check again that all 5 Macs have been removed.
“Cannot Authorize more than 5 Computers” , I removed all five computers and I then tried to authorize only one, but I’m still getting the same error
