How do you connect a new mac to an iphone 11?

My iphone 11 wouldn't let me open any apps so I powered it off. After I tried to turn it back on and it has been on the black apple screen since 8 AM.

Take a look at the suggestions in here. Start with the forced restart. That might work for you.
